CyberBastion at INFOSEC SEE 2025 – over 80 participants took on the challenge

CyberBastion once again attended the INFOSEC SEE 2025 conference, presenting cybersecurity threat scenarios. The workshop was attended by over 80 participants – experts and enthusiasts of the IT security industry from across the region.

The contestants faced two advanced attack scenarios set in the environments of organizations from the railway and retail sectors.

Scenario 1: Data theft in the railway sector

In the first case, participants faced the challenge of a data theft incident in the IT and OT environments of a railway transport company. The attackers exploited an unpatched vulnerability as an entry vector, gaining access to the systems and beginning to exfiltrate sensitive data.

Scenario 2: Ransomware in an international retail chain

In the second scenario, the target was a fictional international retail chain. The ransomware attack was multi-vector in nature – the cybercriminals used techniques exploiting known vulnerabilities and carried out a targeted phishing campaign aimed at the organization’s employees.

The participants demonstrated great commitment and knowledge, responding to threats in real time and defending the organization’s infrastructure against the consequences of an attack.

At the end of the workshop, prizes funded by SecureVisio, a strategic partner of the CyberBastion League, were awarded.

We invite you to follow future events and take on new scenarios in upcoming CyberBastion League tournaments!
